I was recently deeply upset by the change in policy of the ‘Wholefoods’ on Lincoln Boulevard, in Venice, CA, which used to offer a 3-meat option at their crisp ‘Asian Counter’ but has now made the error of changing this to 2, with an over-sized helping of tasteless rice. The burly manager confronted me over my upset at this change, and aggressively told me that this was the new policy. He then proceeded to tell me to stop leaning on the glass counter, which I was using to attempt to charm the young server with my European wiles. This was not succesful. I wanted to injure this unpleasant man, most likely a Republican, certainly a gun owner, but in the end decided to go with the much crapper 2 meat option. My dinner suffered enormously for it. And the wine was rather unimpressive to top it off. I go back to Wholefoods tonight with a vengeance and a desire to rectify my, and their, wrongs.
